Terms of Service

Last updated: March 2026

Note: This is a placeholder terms of service for development purposes. It should be reviewed and approved by qualified legal counsel before this site launches to the public.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using PA Radon Hub (paradonhub.com), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the site.

2. Nature of Service — We Are Not a Service Provider

PA Radon Hub is an independent informational resource and lead referral platform. We connect homeowners and property owners with independent, DEP-certified radon testing and mitigation contractors. We explicitly are not:

  • A radon testing company
  • A radon mitigation company
  • A licensed contractor of any kind
  • An agent or representative of the PA Department of Environmental Protection
  • A government agency or government-approved resource

Any radon testing or mitigation work is performed exclusively by the independent contractors you engage. We are not a party to any agreement between you and a contractor.

3. Independent Contractors

Contractors listed on this site are independent third parties who hold their own PA DEP radon certifications. PA Radon Hub does not employ, supervise, or control these contractors. We make no guarantee of:

  • Contractor availability or response time
  • Pricing or cost estimates provided by contractors
  • Quality of work performed by contractors
  • Contractor compliance with applicable laws beyond DEP certification status

Always verify contractor DEP certification status independently through the PA DEP Bureau of Radiation Protection before hiring.

4. Informational Content — Not Professional Advice

All content on this site — including articles, guides, city pages, cost estimates, and FAQ answers — is provided for general informational purposes only. It does not constitute professional radon testing advice, engineering advice, legal advice, or medical advice. Do not rely on site content as a substitute for professional consultation with a certified radon professional.

Radon levels vary by specific location, building construction, and seasonal conditions. City-level and regional averages presented on this site are general estimates and may not reflect conditions in any specific structure.

5. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, PA Radon Hub and its operators are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of this site, reliance on information published here, or your engagement with any contractor you find through this site.

6. Accuracy of Information

We strive to keep information current and accurate but make no warranties regarding completeness, accuracy, or timeliness. Regulatory requirements (such as SB 760 compliance deadlines), contractor certification status, and cost data change over time. Always verify critical information with authoritative sources such as PA DEP.

7. Intellectual Property

All original content on this site is the property of PA Radon Hub. You may not reproduce, republish, or redistribute content without written permission.

8. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms at any time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects when changes were last made. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

9. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, without regard to conflict of law principles.
